About

Embody & Bloom Therapy is a trauma-informed practice rooted in the belief that healing grows when individuals, couples, and families feel safe enough to explore their experiences with curiosity and compassion. Our work nurtures the holistic connection between mind, body, and relationships, recognizing that emotional distress often sprouts within relational and systemic contexts.

Treatment at Embody & Bloom Therapy integrates evidence-based and experiential approaches tailored to each client’s unique needs. I am trained in EMDR and Trauma-Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), helping clients gently process distressing experiences and beliefs while cultivating emotional regulation, resilience, and new growth. Sessions are paced intentionally, with a strong emphasis on safety, stabilization, and nervous system awareness — helping clients take root in a secure and supportive environment.

In addition to individual trauma work, Embody & Bloom Therapy draws from systemic and relational models, including Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), Experiential, and Narrative Therapy approaches. These approaches help clients examine patterns, roles, and emotional cycles within relationships and family systems, supporting relational flourishing, repair, and adaptive growth. Dr. Allen’s research interests in dyadic coping and resilience further inform this work, highlighting how partners and family members can strengthen each other’s capacity to weather stress and thrive together.

Embody & Bloom Therapy offers a collaborative, nonjudgmental space where symptoms are seen as adaptive responses rather than flaws. Treatment is rooted in honoring each client’s lived experience while supporting integration, growth, and sustainable change — helping individuals, couples, and families feel more embodied, connected, and able to bloom.
